Support ring

Support rings, as standard profiles, are primarily used in conjunction with lip, groove, and O-rings in hydraulic systems under high pressure, to prevent a seal from penetrating into the clearance (gap extrusion).

A support ring does not have a sealing function but it increases the lifespan of seals.
